Over 600 LTCi producers and 20 exhibitors from across the nation gathered at the
three day Annual
LTCi National Producers Summit held at the Westin Hotel in Kansas City,
MO during Long-Term Care Awareness Month on November 14 – 16,
2009.
This year’s Summit combined two conferences – the producer sales and marketing conference
organized by the American Association
for Long-Term Care Insurance and the conference for state officials
organized by the Center For Healthcare
Strategies (CHCS).
Agents were able to attend sessions focused on the LTC Partnership and participate
in a Q&A session with executives responsible for Partnership programs in their state.
Particular topics of interest included how to market and sell during the 2010 landscape
as annuity products and more life policies become available.
Mickey Batsell,
AALTCI member and experienced Long-Term Care Producer, encourages agents to become
active participants in industry associations and tradeshows.
“It’s so valuable for producers to be able to meet annually and recharge our batteries,”
says Batsell. “Priceless education is provided during these summits and they’re
a wonderful source for networking, especially for those just getting started in
the business. Top producers from across the nation attend shows like the LTCi National
Producers Summit to help share ideas with others in order to better serve the LTC
market,” Batsell adds.
TWG Capital hosted
a booth at the summit educating agents on a unique alternative to get capital needed
to implement new opportunities provided during the show. TWG Capital Account Manager,
John Stainbrook, also hosted a “Cash Box Guess & Win Giveaway” which
awarded a cash prize to the attendee with the closest guess of dollars in the box.
