Jim is responsible for the TWG Capital corporate strategy, sales, and marketing, as well as maintains extensive contacts with insurance agents and carriers nationwide.
Jim began his notable career after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point and an MBA from Harvard University. Upon graduation, he spent several years with strategy consultants, Bain & Company before establishing TWG Entertainment, a company that brought to market asset-based financing of royalty and filmed entertainment properties with U.S. major motion picture studios.
In 1993, Jim joined Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield (now Wellpoint) as vice president of strategy. There he helped carry out the successful IPO of Acordia Insurance Services and the creation of several other companies. This initial exposure to commission streams, combined with his prior experience with entertainment receivables, sparked the idea of growth capital for the insurance industry.
Jim left Anthem in 1997 to become chief of staff of Conseco Health, overseeing 1.4 million senior policyholders. After three years with Conseco, he moved on to establish TWG Capital, which today is the nation’s leading provider of financial solutions for the insurance industry.
